San Giuseppe

We happened to come to this place after spending time in the area. The parking is wonderful, it has its own parking lot with other businesses, which is a relief in the Hoboken area! When I called to see if we needed reservations, the woman, Amy, who answered the phone, was very personable and welcoming. They had nice jazz music playing, which made for a very cozy atmosphere, along with the beautiful atmosphere that they created inside. The food was excellent! We had sole fish, pepperoni pizza, the chicken noodle soup, spinach, and cappuccinos. It was all delicious! Our server, Amy, was excellent. We highly recommend this place! It’s a nice combination of relaxed, with nice quality food.

I hosted my son’s baptism reception here on a Sunday for a couple of hours. Joseph (the owner) has been in constant communication with me since the beginning. He was very prompt to respond to any questions I had - whether it was a call, text, or email. Amanda, his wife, arrived earlier that morning so we could set up our decorations. She was amazing to help accommodate any last minute requests such as additional high chairs, tables, and even coloring books for the kids! The food was delicious! We ordered family style appetizers, choice of 2 entrees, 3 kids menu choices and Italian cookies and coffee for dessert. It was BYOB. We were able to bring in our own refreshments the day before - and they chilled it for us! They were able to accommodate to some guests’ dietary restrictions without any problems. All my guests were surprised how I could find a hidden gem in hoboken! Thank you again Joseph - to you, your family, and the entire staff! We will definitely come back here to dine in.

I unfortunately did not have the chance to try the food here but I will definitely say that the service is not even worth giving the food a chance. I had made reservations for 8:15 to eat here with my family who drove from 45 minutes away to have dinner. My reservation very clearly noted that I had a 15 minute grace period - giving us till about 8:30. At 8:21 I received a call from the restaurant letting me know that the kitchen closes at 8:30. The gentleman very clearly told me that they would let my family and I come in and place an order. I walked in the door at 8:32 and was unfortunately told that they would not seat us or take our order. If your kitchen closes at 8:30. Don’t take a reservation for 8:15 with a 15 minute grace period. The math doesn’t math here.

I can’t recommend San Giuseppe’s enough. We had a graduation party for 40 people and everything went smoothly. All questions were answered in a very timely manner, everyone agreed that the food was delicious and everyone working at San Giuseppe’s was professional, friendly and very helpful before and during our event. There was also sufficient parking for everyone. We will definitely be back.
